If you're trying to cut costs on your build in every way, then sure, you can live with 8 GB. Ended up grabbing an i5 8gb this weekend as Micro Center had a bundle w/ black type cover for 699. The lower-end MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini models feature 8GB RAM, which is non-user-upgradable, however, you can configure them. 64 KB should be enough for anybody, right?
